Commemoration of the Purification of Mary and the Presentation of our Lord. What happened at the Temple this day? What did Joseph and Mary do? What did God do?
Tuesday: Psalm 112:1-9
Who is blessed? Why? What promises are made to such a man? How does the fear of the Lord show itself is his life?
Wednesday: Luke 8:4-15
What happens when the Word of God is sown? Why? Do you see this happening to you? What can you do about this?
Thursday: Isaiah 58:3-9a
Is it possible to do the right thing for the wrong reasons? Have you ever? How did Israel? How does the Word of God help reorient us to do the right things for the right reasons?
Friday: 1 Corinthians 2:1–16
What is the basis and foundation of our faith? Why must this be? How can this be? How does the Spirit work this in us?
Saturday: Matthew 5:13-20
What kind of salt and light are you? Why? Do you have any righteousness of your own? What do we need? How do we receive this?
The Catechism - The Ten Commandments: The First Commandment: You shall have no other gods. What does this mean? We should fear, love, and trust in God above all things.
Collect for the Week: O Lord, keep Your family the Church continually in the true faith that, relying on the hope of Your heavenly grace, we may ever be defended by Your mighty power; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord. Amen.
